An agreement to be signed later was approved by the government Cabinet Meeting held on Monday, January 4.
FIFA expressed its interest to open it’s East-African office in Kigali to coordinate all its related activities in the region, provide strategic guidance to regional Member Associations, and provide recommendations to FIFA Headquarters for development support in the region.
The East African Community (EAC) is a regional intergovernmental organization of six (6) Partner States, comprising Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda, with its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania.
